Black and White
Black and white photography is the version most people think is more ‘arty’. This is mainly because photographs were black and white before they were color (i.e. tradition). The real value is because, by taking away ‘distracting’ color, you focus on form, composition and the balance between light and dark. Photography means ‘writing with light’; black and white photography best expresses that. I think and shoot in color, then have fun with Photoshop.
